Special Event Background Music

 |
Make your special events even more magical!
Weddings, holiday celebrations, art openings, dinners-all occasions
are enhanced by the addition of live music.
I play a Celtic harp, also known as a folk harp. It differs from the
huge pedal harps that you see in symphony orchestras; it stands about
4 feet tall, has 33 strings (about 5 octaves), and utilizes levers
rather than pedals for key changes. The sound produced by these two
different harps is very similar. Because the harp is an instrument that
people don't see every day, it evokes an exciting atmosphere for your
event and lets guests know that something truly special is about to
happen.

My repertoire is comprised mostly
of music that I have composed, with a small amount of traditional tunes
from Ireland. I would describe my style of playing as light and easy-going.
If desired, I have a lovely voice and can sing songs as well.
I have amplification available for the harp that is either battery
powered or electric.
I want to let you know that if you have a lot of specific song requests,
then I may not be the harpist for you. I play from memory, without
the clutter of a library of sheet music or music stand. I have played
harp professionally since 1991, and have developed an acute sensitivity
to choose music that is appropriate for what is happening. I am sure
that my instrumentals will provide a lovely background canvas for your
event.
